CANADA... A LAND OF
OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUTH

December 28th, 2011 8:23pm… It was the time we landed in Canada. It was a game-changing day.
Canada is an amazing country that offers a unique and inclusive environment for all its citizens. As someone who has grown up here, I can attest to the countless opportunities and experiences that Canada has to offer. From its diverse culture, multiculturalism, and pluralism to its excellent schooling system and extracurricular activities, Canada truly is a wonderful place to call home.
I am grateful to my parents for bringing me to Canada at a young age and giving me the chance to grow up here. I have been fortunate enough to experience some of the best things Canada has to offer, from delicious food like blueberry pancakes with real Canadian maple syrup and poutine, to amazing events like the Toronto Christmas Market. I have also had the opportunity to participate in a variety of community initiatives, like the Center for Social Innovation and the World Partnership Walk.
What makes Canada truly special is its value system. Canadians are known for their respect, kindness, and care towards others, and this is reflected in the country’s initiatives and programs. Canada’s inclusivity and respect towards all cultures and backgrounds are what make it such a great place to live and grow.
Living in Canada is a privilege, and I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to grow up in such a fantastic country. I want to thank my parents for bringing me here and thank Canada for being so welcoming, kind, caring, diverse, pluralistic, multicultural, and just overall… AWESOME!
